However, they also need to sleep well and do some regular exercises. People may include a variety of food types in their meal plans especially those that promote good bodily functions. As the body systems work well, the brain also receives the nutrients and the oxygen that it needs in order to function properly.
One of the best brain foods that have been studied is nuts. However, there have been only some studies on some kinds of nuts that people eat. Various researches were conducted on the effects of nuts to cognitive abilities which include peanuts, almonds, walnuts and hazelnuts. Other kinds of nuts like pecans and cashew nuts may also facilitate brain functions although there is no any evidence yet to prove this effect.
People get health benefits from eating the right amount of vitamins and nutrients from nuts. The vitamin E that is present in some of them for example is good for the body and for the brain as well. It helps people in processing the information better. Niacin which can be found in peanuts has positive effects in retaining memory and in preventing diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
People may also eat walnuts as their snacks because it contains DHA. This is one kind of Omega-3 fatty acid which can help in improving the cognitive capabilities among adults. Pregnant women as well as their unborn babies may also gain benefits from it. Studies have found out that babies who are born from mothers who had sufficient DHA in their diet were smarter than those whose mothers were deficient with this kind of nutrients. The brains of newborn infants are also protected by the presence of DHA.
Nuts in general when eaten in the right quantities are beneficial for the health and for brain functions. Eating Nuts and Memory Improvement

There are various kinds of nuts that have been studied and have been found out to contribute to memory improvement. These nuts include almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts and walnuts. Other kinds like pecans and cashew nuts may also increase memory capacity although there have been no researches done to support this claim. However, people may include these various nuts as part of their food intake. These may also enhance their physical health which is essential in maintaining brain health and memory abilities.
Some of these nuts like almonds as well as hazelnuts have lots of vitamin E. This is essential in keeping the body healthy. It has also been proven that a sufficient amount of vitamin E can help in boosting the memory functions especially in recalling details from the files stored in the brain. Niacin is contained in peanuts and this is essential in improving the brain abilities especially in recalling. Studies also suggest that people may be able to lessen the occurrence of mental diseases especially those that affect older adults who are prone to developing Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases.
People may also eat walnuts as it can also be of help to those who would like to improve their capacity to remember important things and details in their lives. Walnuts have DHA contents, which is a kind of Omega3 fatty acid. This nutrient is needed by the brain to make it function better. Babies who are born from mothers who are not deficient with DHA have shown better cognitive abilities according to some researches. The infant's brain gets protected by this nutrient as well.
These are some of the positive effects of getting the right amount of vitamins and nutrients from the food that people eat. However, there are still lots of other kinds of foods aside from nuts that can help people in improving their memory abilities. Fresh fruits and vegetables as well as various types of proteins will also be helpful. However, people should always remember that their food intake whatever it is that they have included in their diet should be taken in the right amount or quantity as much as possible.
Too less intake of vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients that the body needs will lead to deficiencies. Too much of these will likewise cause the body not to function properly. When this happens, the work of the brain is affected as well. It is then essential for people to know how to strike a balance among the various food groups that they need to eat. Nuts are good for the body and for the brain but they should eat it in moderation or in the right quantity only.

How to Increase the Memory Power of Your Brain in 3 Easy Ways

Learning how to increase the memory power of your brain is one of the best things you can do to change your life. All knowledge is nothing but memory. If only people were scientifically taught to memorize in schools we would not have to spend time reading blogs. It is a well-known fact that all the memory giants have worked on their memory and get it to the point that makes us go WOW. I am going to talk about seven easy steps of increasing the memory and making you sharp.
As youngsters we know that we had much better functioning of brain. It is a myth that old age brings down your cognitive capabilities. It is primarily because of the lack of use that memory is declining and not because of age. Let me give you an instance, before the advent of cell phones I used to remember at least 10 phone numbers in my memory. Now I don't remember more than two numbers. This does not mean my brain is less capable of memorizing.
The single most important change one can make to improve memory is doing yoga. I am not going to leave it at that. I am going to tell how to make sure you actually do yoga. I do yoga and I observed that once I lay down the yoga mat I start working. So I only think of one thing in my mind and that is to lay down the yoga mat and I just don' bother about the yoga itself. The interesting thing is once I lay down I make it a point to not get up. It sounds silly to you probably but I will tell you why it works. Your mind is averse to the thought of doing exercise because exercise is a process of bearing a short-term inconvenience for a long-term benefit. So when you just think of laying down the mat which is not really inconvenient you can easily push yourself to that and the rest happens automatically.
The second most useful thing you can do is to learn meditation from a proper source. Pick any successful man you will find that he does some sort of meditation. This helps a LOT in terms of improving memory. I will just give a few pointers to meditation. Meditation is NOT concentration. It is in fact de-concentration. A good place to start is read books by Osho.
Solve puzzles! This piece of advice should be followed depending on the type of lifestyle you have. If you are person who does a lot of mental work you probably need not solve any puzzles. Before you make a decision on this please differentiate between a mental problem and emotional problem. I mean being a manager(in general) is more to do with emotional intelligence compared to a researcher or a scientist. You be the judge of it. A great place to start are a Rubik's cube and Sudoku.
